Where does my meat come from?
That’s a popular question! And our answer really sets us apart. We only ever supply the most tender, tasty healthy and carefully selected British cuts of fresh farm meat. We will not supply foreign imported meat. Not now. Not ever. Find out more about our fresh farm British meat just click here.
Can’t I just buy my fresh meats from the supermarket?
Buying fresh meats from a supermarket is easy, right? All you have to do is get in your car, fight the queues, hope you can find exactly the cut of fresh beef you want, or the best value selections of fresh meat and poultry; then pay, pack and get it all home before it starts to thaw.
That’s after you have shelled out the equivalent of Elton John’s yearly floristry bill on petrol and nearly fainted at the escalating car parking charges at the shopping centre.
Then, when you get home, you just need to unpack it, rearrange it and pack it all back up again, in smaller portions for freezing. Hmmm. Maybe it’s not so easy after all…
But buying fresh meat online really is easy. All it takes is a nice drink in hand, a comfy chair and ten minutes’ browsing our fantastic selection.

But supermarkets sell top quality meat too, don’t they?
Over a quarter of a century of selling fresh farm meat direct and online, we’ve learned that taste is everything! That’s why we’re happy to issue this challenge: buy your fresh beef, fresh lamb or fresh pork from your local supermarket. Is it British meat? Is it farm fresh meat? Most importantly, is it the best you’ve ever tasted?
If the answer to any one of these questions is “no” then do give us a try. Our experience – and customers - tells us we come out on top for convenience, quality, service and taste.
But isn’t buying fresh meat online more expensive?
No. Our reputation is based on three things: quality, service and price. Remember, we deal direct with British farmers. No middlemen. And with no hidden extras to push up the price, you get a lot more premium quality fresh meat for your money.

Who’ll deliver my meat?
Your order will be delivered by either of our couriers, FedEx or City Link on our standard “Next Day by 6pm” service - unless otherwise stated in the payment process. For further information on delivery please refer to our 'Delivery' page.
How to redeem vouchers and special discount codes online?
At Clare Barry we like to reward our customers for their loyalty, as well as offer incentives to attract new customers. So if you’re on our mailing list, from time to time we’ll be sending you vouchers and special discount codes to use when you place your order. Discount codes can also be obtained from our adverts and at our various show stands throughout the year.
To redeem your discount you first need to select an item and place it in your shopping cart. This will then allow you to view your shopping cart and above your list of selected items you will see a red discount code box. You must enter your code in this box BEFORE you proceed to the checkout in order for it to calculate the discounted price.
Your order will be vacuum sealed and professionally packed in a highly insulated box containing special pads called sorba-freeze refrigerant pads – these give you the peace of mind that your meat will not spoil on its way to you.
The science bit: These pads are made from a combination of polyester and silver laminate. Inside each ''cell'' is an acrylate polymer powder capable of absorbing liquid up to 150 times its own weight. Sorba-freeze continues to control temperature even above 2°C and is totally safe to handle. Our professional packers always take transit times and weather conditions into account in order to allocate Sorba-Freeze accordingly.
Once packed, your order will be securely fastened and security strapped.
But my vacuum sealed meat doesn't look or smell right. Is it off?
Don’t worry. Your meat order is perfect. All online meat products have been vacuum sealed for optimum hygiene and freshness. This packaging method may result in the meat darkening in colour; it might also temporarily alter the smell of the meat. This is completely normal. When the meat is opened and exposed to the air again it will regain its natural bloom.
As well as being hygienic, the vacuum-sealed packs are great for putting in the freezer – they take up far less room than the usual plastic food trays.

What if I’m out when the delivery comes?
Again, don’t worry. We are flexible and can follow your instructions as to what to do if you aren’t going to be around. When you order, you have the opportunity to add any ''Special Instructions''. Whether you want us to leave your fresh meat order with Aunty Flo at Number 30, or safely stowed in the garden shed, we’re happy to oblige!
Also, our couriers are advised to leave orders in a safe place if no one is available to accept the meat order. (And no signature is required). This prevents meat orders being returned to courier hubs/depots – and is more convenient for you.

* Just get your order in to us before 12 noon for next day delivery by 6.00pm. So if you order by midday Monday, your order will arrive on Tuesday. For more information on delivery please refer to our 'Delivery' page

Our minimum order is £30 plus the delivery.
Do you do free delivery?
Yes, delivery is FREE on all orders over £100.

Will my meat be fresh or frozen?
The majority of your meat will arrive fresh and individually packed, leaving you to decide whether you want to pop it in the fridge or store it in the freezer.
