It’s important for us to support our local farmers; just as it’s important for us to bring you consistently high quality fresh farm meat. And that’s why we promise to supply only farm assured fresh meats from farms within the UK- beautiful, flavoursome fresh meat and poultry from the best UK fresh meat suppliers – from southern Cornish pastures to the northern Scottish Highlands.
 
Clare Barry’s fresh beef and fresh lamb ranges carry the EBLEX Quality Standard Mark. The Quality Standard for fresh beef and fresh lamb is the only UK scheme to cover eating quality! All fresh beef and fresh lamb carrying the Mark is chosen according to a strict selection process to ensure it is succulent and tender. Quality Standard beef and lamb is produced to higher standards than required by law with a supply chain which is fully assured and independently inspected at every stage, from farm to meat counter. With full traceability comes full peace of mind.
 
 
Fresh Beef
 
Clare Barry work closely with known farmers in the South West of England, many who have been working with us through several generations, we have introduced this fine South West, English brand. Reared on the unique countryside of Devon and Cornwall our cattle are selected only from the beef suckler herds that have been naturally grazed and traditionally finished.
 
 
Fresh Lamb
By using traditional farming methods Clare Barry lamb is left to graze naturally on and among the lush, green pastures such as those in the South West, providing customers with the ultimate, uniquely flavoured lamb.
 
 
Fresh Pork
 
Our pork is also 100% guaranteed to be British. You know that farm British meat is best – and we know only the best will do for our customers. All our pork is sourced from outdoor reared pigs on the rolling hills of Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. They have the freedom to roam and are straw bedded ensuring a natural, ethical rearing process. British regulations for pig farmers ensure that our pigs have more freedom to roam and live a happier life than European breeds.
 
 
Poultry
 
Guess what? All our poultry is British too. We keep saying it (and we always will) - only the best will do. Our Free Range Birds are from Free Range Banham flocks breed on Norfolk pastures. Banham poultry is famous for its ethical rearing policy. These birds have been allowed to roam freely, pecking and scratching like old fashioned farmyard hens as they live out there happy lives. No wonder they taste so much better!
